Our Services

Evaluations

Evaluations are required for all new patients to determine areas of need, develop a treatment plan, and recommend goals that are individualized to the client’s needs. We address areas related to:

  • Pediatric articulation

  • Accent modification

  • Understanding information

  • Using words to communicate

  • Speech and voice changes

  • Difficulties with swallowing or dysphagia

  • Determining if an augmentative-alternative communication (AAC) device is an option

Kinetic Speech Services specializes in adult language and swallowing related to neurological changes including stroke recovery and Parkinson’s disease.

Individual Therapy

Mobile services are available to meet you where you are. Therapy sessions are provided one on one in your home, in the community (e.g., private library space), or via telepractice to in-state residents.

Treatment may address:

  • Articulation: speech sound production or slurred speech

  • Dysphagia: difficulties with swallowing

  • Learning new words

  • Asking and answering questions

  • Aphasia: language loss after stroke or brain related injury

  • Foreign accent modification or reduction

  • Voice changes related to neurological disorders

  • Training on AAC device use

Group Therapy

Group therapy sessions may be recommended when appropriate for clients looking to practice strategies within a more natural context with other people. It is also helpful to meet and socialize with others with similar diagnoses. Clients in the SPEAK OUT! program are recommended to participate in group therapy sessions.
